What Else?
I live HERE:
Who on Earth is Bob Reed?
I'm an aging technologist who, when not fixing broken stuff - my primary raison d'etre, - spends all his time behind the camera.
My first camera was a Polaroid Swinger at age six, which I promptly broke.
At 13, my dad gave me a 35mm Voigtlander he had collecting closet memories. I scrounged up a small enlarger and took over a spider-infested damp corner of the basement. I've had a darkroom since, albeit these days it is a nicely lit room with computers, not chemicals. I shot oodles of B&W film with a Leica in the Seventies, shot 4x5 inch Fuji Velvia with a Linhof in the eighties and nineties, and since have embraced digital capture and post-processing in this millennium, not missing the toxic chemistry and uncertain results of my photographic youth.
These days, I try keeping pace with the smorgasbord of tools available to help us make photographs out of snapshots. It allows me to re-imagine the places I visit, as I choose to see them... ...which is usually more colorful and less populated than I find them.
HOME
No, I don't mean the website 'Home' page; rather that I live HERE:
It snows a bit here. In 2003, we got seven feet in this early March storm.
'Picture Bridge',
Lookout Mountain / Genesee, Colorado

On snow days, home is only an hour or so from good skiing, and the drive starts HERE.
Or it would be, if we did not have to share our backyard interstate highway with all these inept cars!
At 13.294 ft, James Peak caps our backyard view of the Continental Divide. It's 30 miles from here, as the eagle flies.
Late December 2022 it looked like this:
We have no pets, but plenty of co-habitants.
